Superintendent Dwayne E. Jones
Superintendent Dwayne E. Jones has been a devoted servant of God and God’s people for over 46 years, preaching for 44 years, and he is still on the move for God even harder to win SOULS to Christ. Superintendent Dwayne E. Jones – Pastor and Founder of the Spread The News Church of God in Christ, established and started in October 1987. The Lord gave Pastor Jones the vision to start a church. The church began in the basement of his home, and the first members were his loving wife of 47 years, First Lady, Evangelist Isoline Jones, and his oldest daughter.
Superintendent Jones is a proud graduate of C.H. Mason School of Theology, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology, the world’s only fully accredited African American Pentecostal Seminary. Graduate of Samuel Kelsey Bible College, Washington, DC, where he obtained a Master of Theology Degree, an alum of Howard University, achieving another Master of Theology Degree and a Master of Teachers Degree from Living Daily with the Scriptures Training Institute, Washington, DC. Superintendent Jones is a recipient of the “2011 Pastor of the Year Award’ nomination from Praise DC-104.1-FM radio station, The Founders Award (October 2022) for The Temple Hills Coalition of Pastors (THCOP, est. 2019), and the 2023 Larry Hogan Governor’s Award recognizing his service to the state as a 35-year tenured pastor in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
In 2014, Pastor Dwayne E. Jones was confirmed and appointed and currently serves as District Superintendent of the Warren G. Crudup, Sr., District Churches (10 years) in the DMV area under the leadership of Bishop Neavelle A. Coles, Prelate, Washington, DC Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ, Inc. with the recent appointment of interim Bishop Charles H. McClelland. In this role, Superintendent Jones supports the local churches of the Warren G. Crudup, Sr., District with leadership, knowledge transfer, wisdom, and financial support. He implemented Fellowship Saturdays, a novel approach to support each local church and pastor in his appointed district spiritually in fellowship and financial support. Within the first years of serving as the Superintendent, the churches within the Warren G. Crudup, Sr., District have become more unified and are working together with ONE goal- to WIN SOULS FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD!
Superintendent Jones has also served the Washington DC Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction for 48 years now, from 17 years of age to the current age of 65. Serving as Assistant Pastor to the late Pastor Maryland Hinton (6 years), Unity Church of God in Christ, served the late emeritus Bishop Samuel L. Kelsey, Bishop Harvey Lewis, Superintendent Chief Adjutant to the late Bishop Warren George Crudup, Sr., Superintendent Dr. Isaac Sams, and Bishop Sherman Scott Howard. He has had various leadership roles as Chairman of the Ordination Board, and Young People Willing Workers (YPWW) President, Washington, D. C. Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction (8 years), Servant/Leader and Executive Assistant to Superintendent Lloyd C. Coles, Jr. (2 years +). He is the Proud Pastor & Founder of the Spread The News Church of God in Christ (36 years +) and a devoted and loving Husband to one wife for life, First Lady, Evangelist Isoline Jones (47 years +), Community President of Home Owners Association (2 years +), loving, dedicated father of two, grandfather of four, brother, uncle, mentor, community advocate, and
more.
His latest accomplishment derived from a vision the lord planted in his heart – The Temple Hills Coalition of Pastors (THCOP). A vision god planted, watered, and is growing. Starting with one church, currently with thirty-three. The vision is to collaborate with other church ministries to win SOULS for CHRIST – our motto – “We are Better TOGETHER’!
